WTF is Happening Community Gatherings - Ohio
WTF is Happening: Community Gatherings for Connection, Creativity & Change WTF is Happening is a family-friendly series that brings people together through art, conversation, and collective action. Rooted in the belief that real change begins in community, each gathering is designed to spark connection, deepen understanding, and inspire local action. You’ll find local leaders listening, not lecturing. Experts showing up as humans. Organizations offering real tools for action, clear next steps, and grounded facts to help us better understand what’s at stake and how we can make a difference. Our first event is September 21, 2025, in partnership with Standing Rock Cultural Arts Center in Kent, Ohio. Everyone is welcome. WTF is Happening is joyful, honest, and rooted in the belief that we’re better and braver, together.

Wake Public School Advocates
Join public school advocates in Wake County to collaborate on support for public schools. Currently we attend school board meetings and follow school board work sessions. We work in collaboration with pro-public school groups and individuals to inform our local school board about issues that are of concern to students, families and citizens in our county. We are nonpartisan, but support candidates who are public school advocates and advocate for legislation that will positively impact public schools. Training is encouraged for effective advocacy. We are fortunate to have many public school advocacy groups in our county who have training and resources. Connecting with members within these groups makes our impact stronger. Those of us far away (CET time zone) can also organize to help protect democracy in the face of crazy things from the once again 'president' (aka traitor) of the USA and his ilk... Join in with this group to brainstorm and act! The current administration's wrecking balls are affecting us all. Many countries have problems of right wing and authoritarian politicians... The thought is that this group might not just be for American voters, as so much of the world is having difficulties around democracy/totalitarianism... What could help everyone is to find concrete ways to take action that matters... Even from Europe, we can make our voices heard!
