Local Groups
Good Trouble Mendocino County
Welcome To All of You The great news is that just a few weeks ago, when I attended my first Zoom Meeting with Red Wine & Blue to listen to Heather Cox Richardson detail what Project 2025 is, and why we should be concerned, there were only a small number of TroubleNation Groups, mostly in the midwest in about 5 states. That presentation was so well attended and responded to, that in the past two weeks, they have had requests for more than 350 new TroubleNation groups starting up, just like us. California had no groups and now they have many starting up. So we are part of a very exciting grassroots movement that is gaining momentum. The goal of the Zoom Meeting on July 15th was to make sure voters are aware of Project 2025. At the time, only 30% of Americans had heard anything about it. That is already turning around. In the past two weeks, more than 50% of voters have heard mention of it, and our goal is to make sure 70% or more know the dangers it poses, before the Democratic Convention takes place. I look forward to working with you. Let's make it spread! THREE GOALS- 1. Educate yourself about Project 2025 and spread the word to as many people as possible. 2. Do all we can to support the candidates that believe in DIVERSITY INCLUSION and SUPPORT A GENUINE DEMOCRACY. 3. Do all we can to ensure that we keep the Senate and flip the House so that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz can make the kind of real progress they envision. There are 22 Congressional races that are virtual TOSS-UPS- could go either way with a push, that we can influence. There are 7 Senate seats that are TOSS UPS. And there are a number of critical races in Swing States where the GOP is putting lots of MAGA money into unseating Democrats in the Senate. We will be talking about those to keep people tuned in and need to about how support the Democrats however we can. Feel free to look around the TroubleNation site. It is is LOADED with information and resources on every topic imaginable. I am sure you will find lots of valuable information. So far, it appears that Tuesdays are the best evening for meetings I am hoping to keep any future meetings to once a month or less- only when critically necessary. Otherwise, I think we can communicate effectively via this web page, don't you? We will use it to work out concerns, answer questions and post events and upcoming podcasts that will keep us updated on the latest information. So glad you're all here- Melissa Phillips

Eastern Panhandle Policies Over Parties
Eastern Panhandle Policies Over Parties, or EPPOP (pronounced E-POP) for short, is a nonpartisan organization working in Berkeley & Jefferson Counties, West Virginia. We are focused on building a large, integrated safety net to prevent individuals and families from falling through the cracks in society. We are also focused on mitigating harm to people from policies enacted by both the WV & US legislatures and administrations, regardless of political party, and to promoting good policies. We hold our legislators accountable to their constituents and we teach our community members about how to get involved in exercising their political freedoms. We support our communities by working together with others and lifting up all peoples in our communities. Some of the ways in which we accomplish these goals are: -Reducing Food Insecurity by Establishing Community Gardens across our two counties: invite individuals to work in the gardens in exchange for food to feed themselves and their families, use any extra produce to fill local food pantries and feed the needy, teach skills that help people become more independent, and use individuals' volunteer hours in the garden to help them qualify for Medicaid. -Building & Strengthening the Safety Net by Partnering with Churches and other Organizations in our area who are already providing services to our communities, supporting those services, and determining where the holes in our safety net lie, so that we can create additional services to fill those holes. -Combating Misinformation through Truth by researching WV & US policies, teaching our community members about what those policies are, identifying the policy harm within our communities and how they will affect their families, and how they can get involved to support or reject those policies. -Holding Our Representatives Accountable to the People through calls, emails, letters, personal visits, and attending town halls, in addition to teaching their constituents how to make their voices heard in Charleston and DC through their constitutionally protected rights to free speech and peaceful protest -Promoting Education for All by uplifting our educators, fighting book bans, pushing back against discriminatory policies that harm students & teachers, and protesting damaging changes to WV curriculum or school policy. -Supporting Our Community Structure by shopping at small businesses instead of corporations and chain restaurants in order for them to thrive during good times and survive during economic downturns. -Protecting Our Community Members by standing up for all people, especially our marginalized communities, such as LGBTQIA+, IPOC, the elderly, the disabled, the poor, the homeless, veterans, and any other peoples who are being othered. All People deserve to be treated with respect, and our focus is to build up our communities rather than tear them down. -Defending the Rights of All Women & Girls to control their own bodies, lives, choices, education, livelihoods, and voices. We hope that you'll join us on this Adventure into Building a New and Better World! You can find us on Facebook, this website, and soon on BlueSky. Let’s keep each other sane and keep going! Let's be the driving force for change in our neighborhoods and nation. We’ll be coming together monthly at our "Lit & Ready" meetings to share our ideas, collaborate, and keep building momentum. We’ll spend the first hour reflecting on what’s happened over the last month, share insights, thoughts, and laughs, and then close with a quick dive into action. You’ll leave feeling inspired and like we’re making real progress on the issues that matter most to you. Can't wait to see you all. And hey, don't hesitate to shoot me an email directly at [email protected] to share your awesome journey. Together, let's shape the world we dream of for ourselves and our little ones! Let's get after it, y'all, the world we want to wake up to is waiting.

Stars and Stripes, South Bay
Our country is in deep trouble and the rise of extremism threatens the values we hold dear. Most of us have never been politically active before—but we know NOW is the time for us to come together, to step up, speak out, and ACT. Our strength lies in our diversity. We are Republicans and Democrats. We come from different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences, but we are united by a common purpose: to create a safe, inclusive space where people can connect, learn, lean on one another, and be empowered to take meaningful action. We are committed to building a trusted source of information, free from misinformation and fear. Here, you’ll find a community that values respectful conversation, collaboration, and real active solutions. Together we can make a difference. Thank you for being part of this movement. Let’s get to work. We are based in Torrance, CA.
