Ottawa County Voices (MI)

Ottawa County Voices connects local people who share values and want to protect democracy at local, state and national levels. We are a non-partisan educational group. Our goal is to help our members have good conversations with others about the important issues facing Ottawa County, Michigan and the USA. Our 2024 priorities are to: 1) Ensure a future of freedom for everyone by restoring good governance, transparency and fiscal responsibility to Ottawa County. 2) Encourage everyone to have a plan to vote on November 5. 3) Explain how Project 2025 would affect you at the local, state and federal levels. We'll help you sort through some key issues this election year. We'll post resources here every week or so, to help us understand what we see and read, and help us talk with others about it. We’re not a PAC. We don’t compete with local advocacy groups organized in your districts and communities. We support that work and want to help you do it better. And no need to live in Ottawa County to join: the issues we care about affect folks everywhere. For example, we’ll share: TOOLS. Tools to help us speak effectively with friends and family about issues, even if they see things differently. Tools to help us handle disinformation. Tools that encourage people to vote. LINKS. Links that summarize key information, like who's running for what office, or how Project 2025 would impact American women. Links that suggest how we can get involved -- a little or a lot - locally.  EVENTS. Events may be live, or over Zoom. We'll meet different ways, and you can choose. If you want to make a difference in a way that's a good fit for your time, talents, and interests, no matter where you live, join Ottawa County Voices, and work on the issues you care about!

Purple Hays Together

Purple Hays Together is a community of pro-democracy people in Hays County, Texas organizing to inform our friends and neighbors about threats to democracy and freedom, while having fun together. Project 2025 is one of those threats. Banning books, restricting the right to learn American history comprehensively, and giving women no say in deciding their own futures are just some of the ways our freedoms are in danger as a minority of Americans try to impose their will on the majority. Transforming Texas from a largely non-voting state to a voting one is essential to promoting democracy at every level of government and to countering such efforts. Here in Hays County, Purple Hays Together will promote voting through education and get-out-the-vote efforts, as well as supporting voter registration efforts. Our approach is to educate and build bridges so we all understand the issues through focusing on facts, not fear, so each of us can use the ballot box to stand up and say no to these undemocratic plans. They are on the ballot in the 2024 election at the presidential level and in many races around the country – including in Texas. This is not a right or left issue, not red or blue, it's an American issue. We all have a stake. We welcome you to join us. The matter is urgent and the time is short. The more the merrier! We have less than 100 days until the 2024 election. While centered in Wimberley in the 78676 zip code, we also extend our efforts to those living in Buda (78610), Driftwood (78619), Dripping Springs (78620), Kyle (78640), San Marcos (78666), and to Northern Hays/Belterra (78737). Contact our point person, Susan Raybuck, at [email protected]. Also look for our Purple Hays Together group on Facebook.

North Seattle Progressives

NSP has been operating since February, 2017. We are action-oriented and have written 10's of thousands of postcards each year, knocked on doors, educated ourselves and our community about issues and candidates, phonebanked, textbanked and more. Our activists live throughout the greater Seattle area and western Washington. We want to incorporate into our activism helping get the word out about the Trump/Republican agenda, Project 2025, because we believe that the more Americans that understand it, the more they will vote for candidates who believe in democracy and protecting individual rights, and against all who support this agenda. Please join us!
