Hilliard Residents Building Good (RBG)
Hilliard RBG was formed in February of 2025 to form a community of like-minded people that share values to protect democracy at the local, state and national level. “Going local”, one of our primary focuses, is advocating for Hilliard City Schools. So whether you have a Hilliard address or not, you are welcome here! We meet monthly on the fourth week of the month, alternating between Tuesday and Thursday. The monthly meet ups feature speakers on a variety of topics important to our members. We have social events throughout the month such as Coffee and Craftivism, Banned Book Club, Walk & Talks. We also participate in local rallies, protests and activism. If you have any questions or suggestions for speakers or fun get togethers, send them to [email protected]. We value your feedback.

GRIT
Welcome to G.R.I.T. Greater Rochester Integrity & Truth. A Community for Democracy. OUR NAME Stands for a variety of words, heralded by the determination and grit we'll need to protect democracy. ABOUT US Our grassroots group connects like-minded people in the Greater Rochester, NY community who want to work with others to protect our democracy on the local, state and national levels. WHO WE ARE We are everyday people from all backgrounds, of all ages and all persuasions with the same resolve to make America greater than we've been. An America for ALL the people, by the people. OUR MISSION 1. Support Community. A safe space where we can… sort through disinformation together, navigate how to have fact-based conversations with others, and shed our feelings of helplessness and outrage. A place where we are shored up just in knowing that we're not alone. 2. Seek Knowledge. To better understand this political landscape, we share fact-based information and resources and host a variety of smart speakers. 3. Take Action. Sometimes small, sometimes big. From postcards and canvassing to calls and protests—and everything in between. HOW DO WE CONNECT We meet in person for real conversations and actions every other Monday in Fairport Village. Our best and primary form of communication is via a blind email list that we do not share. PLEASE MESSAGE US WITH YOUR EMAIL IF YOU WANT TO BE ADDED. You can also find us on these platforms: FaceBook — https://www.facebook.com/groups/1261259318375662 BlueSky — @grit-roc.bsky.social Red, Wine & Blue — https://redwineblue.controlshift.app/groups/grit We are an independent group but also part of Red, Wine & Blue's grassroots Trouble Nation community so we have access to workshops and tools to help us in our efforts.

Sarah Harris Was Here
Our group intends to organize locally and bring together community members frustrated with the rise and general acceptance of extremism. The vision is a community action group which will impact the political landscape where we live. We will start with pressing issues we notice immediately in our community, and as we grow, so will our reach! We are a non-partisan group and anyone hoping to make a better future is welcome to join us. No prior experience is necessary and all ideas for non-violent resistance are welcome.

Turning Fear Into Fight. Women, allies, democracy.
We’re women of North New Jersey. We are deeply concerned about our country, Trumpism, Project 2025. We love our country deeply, we love democracy. 🚨NOTE: This is a support group. We need community, fellowship and friendship to get through this time in our country. A monthly get-together for discussion and support. We will also choose books to read—a democracy book club in addition to a solidarity group of friendship. On-the-ground activism is so important, consider this group a support group addition to whatever activism you’re engaging in. We are not only determined to save America, one person at a time, but make America even better. More equal, prosperous, social and economic justice for all.

The Tyranny Disruption Front
We bring together people in our community who feel strongly about protecting democracy and uniting around liberty and justice FOR ALL. This group has three primary goals: 1. Save democracy by causing good (nonviolent) trouble. We are terrified of a country that so easily believes the lies of an authoritarian sociopath, state media that pushes extreme right-wing propaganda, and a government that denies its citizens a living wage, affordable healthcare, education, and strips away our rights for the benefit of billionaires and corporations. We are the legs this country stands on, and it's about time we remind them. We are brave enough to recognize our fear and courageous enough to do something about it. 2. Consistently and persistently take action. We stand behind the minority members of our society: women, veterans, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+. We defend the right and freedom to exist as you are, love who you want, and to do so without discrimination, but with encouragement. We fight hate with love because it is infinitely stronger. No one is above the law, and everyone is entitled to due process. 3. Build community. Our different skills, knowledge, experience, and solutions make us stronger, smarter, and more capable. We support each other and are building connections. From martial law (and other worst-case scenarios) to walking dogs to help a friend who twisted their ankle, we're here for each other. Education and awareness are the name of the game, and girl, do we love to play. Empathy and respect are the rules, and with that said, do not go gently into that dark night….
