Our local group will connect people in our community who want to work with others who have concerns for the future of democracy in this country. We want to have open dialogs and bring attention to the rise of bigotry and fascism that we've seen as people seek to ban books and whitewash history. Bethel Blues/REBS Fairfield County

Bethel Blues is a group that’s organizing community events and protests, as well as focusing on social justice causes. Leading initiatives such as, "No Kings" and "Pop Up Protests" in and around Bethel, CT. These events aim to raise awareness and promote activism on issues like gun violence and government accountability. Some notable events include: “No Kings" event: Featuring a reading by Bethel’s Poet Laureate, with door prizes donated by local businesses “Pop Up Protests", Rallies held at public spots, including in front of Big Y in Bethel, to raise awareness and show solidarity. • Postcarding Madness: Writing postcards to support specific causes and politicians, such as Sherrod Brown a US Senator, and other politicians urging them to make OUR voices heard. Bethel Blues has also been involved in charity work, including a Thanksgiving meal train for the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department. The group's efforts have garnered attention and support from the local community. People are saying that Bethel Blues is a platform for activism and community engagement, with a focus on promoting social justice and holding those in power accountable. With its grassroots approach and commitment to peaceful protest, Bethel Blues continues to make its presence known in the Bethel Community. Thanks to all who have joined us in our mission. Denise M. Beginning in February 2025, our local Upstate group connects like-minded people with shared values who want to work with others to protect democracy on the local, state and national levels. We are an advocacy and activism group (belonging also to the Greenville Progressive Coalition), a social outreach group, and a support group for those who care about protecting our country and all of those within.

Temecula Valley ReSisters

Temecula Valley ReSisters is a part of Red Wine & Blue's TroubleNation (check out their website here https://redwine.blue/). They offer a ton of great resources to educate and empower us. Our local group's goal is to create a network of like minded people in Temecula Valley to identify areas that we can be the most impactful. Ideally, aligning each of our strengths and aptitudes to needs in our community. We intend to leverage the efforts of existing organizations in our community that share our values. We are looking to empower one another to take action, have fun and have no regrets. We intend on meeting the third Wednesday of the month, 6pm - 8 pm, to discuss issues and create action items.
