Fear! Fear is an uncontrollable emotion at times. If you are here and joining our group, it means you still believe, as a parent and/or ally, in saving public education and fighting against fascism in the USA. We unite passionate, badass individuals across our communities who are committed to protecting democracy at the local, state, and national levels. I ran for the Board of Education in Frederick County, Maryland. Although I failed to get past the primary election, we still have a lot of work to do if we want to keep extremists out of all forms of politics. Even the local chapter president of "Moms for Liberty," Jamie Brennan, continues to mask her political agenda in our county. We have numerous resources available for you at RWB and on our Troublenation Page. While we allow supportive men and/or non-binary people into our group, understand that the main RWB is women only. Triad Actioneers - Greater Triad Area NC
Our local group will connect people ready for action in our community who want to work with others to protect democracy on the local, state, and national levels. This Team will meet monthly to discuss relevant topics, share actions needed immediately, and rally our troops to take action. We welcome people to champion an issue, inform the group on it, and plan action for it. As interest grows in the Triad, we will host even larger gatherings to share information and most importantly, share ACTIONS needed to protect our local, state, and national democracy. With numerous battles being fought regarding topics important to human rights throughout the state of NC, Triad Actioneers formed in the Spring of 2023 to offer a central location for information sharing. Our members found it difficult to keep up with all of the information on each of the important topics. We now team up with other community groups to know how and when to take action for greater impact regarding a hot topic. To alleviate frustration and develop action that will make a positive change, a champion will bring current information and specific needed actions to each meeting regarding the following topics: Education School Budget School Vouchers BOE Updates Freedom to Parent Trans Initiatives Reproductive Health ...any other relevant topic that is key to defending democracy. Thank you for being a badass by wanting to take action to defend our democracy! We look forward to meeting you soon.
