Ballard Families for Democracy (BFFD)-News Not Noise Group
Welcome to our News Not Noise-Ballard Families for Democracy (BFFD) group! We are a small group of families in NW Seattle/Ballard neighborhood who want to make political engagement accessible and enjoyable for ourselves and neighbors. BFFD Mission: Strengthen connections in our community to facilitate individual and collective action that promote democracy in a way that is accessible to parents and families. Engage members/local families through: 1. Chat groups, web page updates, and social media posts to mobilize for simple actions (phone calls/emails) or larger calls to action (local rapid response). 2. Share information, trusted information sources, and civic action networks. 3. Semi-monthly event to engage our members and the Ballard/NW Seattle community. Fun, social events which can be enjoyed by families and neighbors alike. Also provides an opportunity to connect, share information/resources, and raises money for a cause. All while making space for members to step forward and back in our collective work to accommodate our families, jobs, etc. We are a NNN group: We’re here to make staying informed and engaged easier, not overwhelming. Together, we share trustworthy news, have meaningful conversations, and take local action that strengthens our democracy. Our group joined Red Wine & Blue/Trouble Nation because we follow News Not Noise for trusted information without a panic attack. News Not Noise groups bring our community together in person — to connect, share meaningful conversation, and build real relationships with others who value staying informed without the noise. Created in partnership with Red Wine & Blue (RWB), these small, local groups are led by News Not Noise subscribers who want to bring the spirit of this community to life where they live.

Stand Up Together
Our local group connects like-minded people in our community who want to work with others who share their values to protect democracy on the local, state and national levels. During the summer, we are joining with members of two other groups, Indivisible and West Valley Women for Democracy on the third Thursday of each month at 4:30. See event notices. The Postcard Posse is a group of individuals who are working to get citizens informed and registered to vote using hand-written post cards. We primarily target individuals who will likely vote Democrat or voters who have been most negatively impacted by recent political policies.

Pink Wave Action
Born from a groundswell of women from the greater Stamford area who march and rally for equal rights, Pink Wave Action is emerging as a leader in grassroots organizing in our Stamford, Connecticut community and beyond. https://pinkwave.org/ Our mission is to support the equitable safety and well-being of women, girls and gender non-conforming people through community organizing, projects and activities. We aim to break down systemic barriers to inclusive and equitable healthcare, education, and leadership so that all people have the opportunity to reach their highest potential. Good Trouble in Davie
We are an advocacy group of suburban women that formed in late 2023 with assistance from Red Wine & Blue's TroubleNation campaign. Red Wine & Blue is a national organization working to "change the world together, one suburb at a time" and provides everything women need to successfully organize in their communities. Our local group connects women together in Davie County who want to work with others to protect Democracy on the local, state and national levels. We seek to keep censorship, book bans and extremist groups out of our county. We advocate for public education & educators, libraries & literacy, and protecting the rights of ALL citizens in Davie County. *****Want to get into Good Trouble in Davie?
