The mission of Justice for All Ventura County (JFAVC) is to motivate, educate, connect, and mobilize people to actively engage in their government in support of justice for all. By serving as an umbrella organization, JFAVC convenes likeminded organizations in Ventura County to work toward solutions of our shared agendas of Social Equity, Educational Justice, Economic Equity, Environmental Sustainability, and Violence Protection. We are a diverse group of teachers, professors, social workers, businesspeople, medical professionals, and more, ranging in age from 25 years old to 65 + years old. We want to * stay informed with what is happening in our local, state, and federal government, *walk in solidarity with the marginalized, including refugees, immigrants, LGBTQ+, etc., *defend democracy and the rule of law, *stand up for public education, *defend and protect voting rights, and *encourage and support each other in a community.

New Milford Good Trouble

Looking to find community with other women in New Milford who are upset with what is happening in our country. This will be a safe place to discuss thoughts and ideas. There will never be any pressure to do or attend anything, but I know for myself when I have wanted to go to an event or speak up, it always feels better to do it with a friend. Please share with any women you know that could use this group too!

Bonfire - Loudoun County, VA

Bonfire brings people together in real-world spaces, to grow, learn, and spark change — together, in person. We’re building community right in your backyard, with events and gatherings that offer opportunities for personal, professional, and political engagement and fulfillment. If you are looking for connection and joy, seeking inspiration or have some to share, we have a seat by our fire for you! Bonfire was created for women of all ages and backgrounds, but is not exclusive to women. Created in partnership with Red Wine & Blue’s TroubleNation, Bonfire groups are local communities led by volunteer organizers who want to bring people together where they live. TroubleNation provides the tools, training, and support to help these groups grow and thrive — while keeping community building at the center. Bonfire – Loudoun County meets monthly at local libraries. We have scheduled regular monthly meetings that build connection, community and relationships while providing opportunities to learn and give back together. Our members are also actively planning regular events outside of our monthly gatherings — from hikes, to museum visits, to volunteering with organizations in our community.

Ballard Families for Democracy (BFFD)-News Not Noise Group

Welcome to our News Not Noise-Ballard Families for Democracy (BFFD) group! We are a small group of families in NW Seattle/Ballard neighborhood who want to make political engagement accessible and enjoyable for ourselves and neighbors. BFFD Mission: Strengthen connections in our community to facilitate individual and collective action that promote democracy in a way that is accessible to parents and families. Engage members/local families through: 1. Chat groups, web page updates, and social media posts to mobilize for simple actions (phone calls/emails) or larger calls to action (local rapid response). 2. Share information, trusted information sources, and civic action networks. 3. Semi-monthly event to engage our members and the Ballard/NW Seattle community. Fun, social events which can be enjoyed by families and neighbors alike. Also provides an opportunity to connect, share information/resources, and raises money for a cause. All while making space for members to step forward and back in our collective work to accommodate our families, jobs, etc. We are a NNN group: We’re here to make staying informed and engaged easier, not overwhelming. Together, we share trustworthy news, have meaningful conversations, and take local action that strengthens our democracy. Our group joined Red Wine & Blue/Trouble Nation because we follow News Not Noise for trusted information without a panic attack. Check out Jessica Yellin and News Not Noise on substack where you can sign up for digestible newsletters. News Not Noise groups bring our community together in person — to connect, share meaningful conversation, and build real relationships with others who value staying informed without the noise. Created in partnership with Red Wine & Blue (RWB), these small, local groups are led by News Not Noise subscribers who want to bring the spirit of this community to life where they live.
