IMPORTANT UPCOMING: OCTOBER 18th: Machias - NO KINGS DAY! 12-1 (as below) OCTOBER 25th: Wheelchair and Walker Standout for Vote NO on Question #1. Bring walkers, wheelchairs, to line the sidewalk as a visual to attract eyes to the message that Question #1 will impact the 40% of Mainers who rely on absentee voting. WEEKLY STAND OUTS in Washington County! Machias, Saturdays rain or shine, 12-1 bottom of college hill near bridge Cherryfield, Tuesdays, 12-1 on the bridge Lubec, Saturdays, 11-12 across from IGA Calais, Fridays, 11 am, Main St. Save the dates! Welcome to Action Advocates! Here it is, 2025. Yes, we are not where we wanted to be, but that just means we have a lot of work ahead of us. Stay tuned to this page as we realign ourselves and get ready to continue our fight for Democracy! Check back often as we don't want to contribute to your email flood! In the meantime, if you want to start making good trouble right away, we like the free app '5 Calls'. Once you enter your location, you are presented with a laundry list of issues. You decide which ones you want to act on, the app will give more information on the issue and then will determine the appropriate people to contact. It will provide you with direct link phone number and even a sample script that you can use or modify. We love it! (Remember to leave contact information to your representatives if you leave a voice mail so your opinion is tallied!) There you are! Now go make some 'good trouble!'
