Bonfire brings people together in real-world spaces, to grow, learn, and spark change — together, in person. We’re building community right in your backyard, with events and gatherings that offer opportunities for personal, professional, and political engagement and fulfillment. If you are looking for connection and joy, seeking inspiration or have some to share, we have a seat by our fire for you! Bonfire was created for women of all ages and backgrounds, but is not exclusive to women. Created in partnership with Red Wine & Blue’s TroubleNation, Bonfire groups are local communities led by volunteer organizers who want to bring people together where they live. TroubleNation provides the tools, training, and support to help these groups grow and thrive — while keeping community building at the center. Bonfire - St. Pete meets monthly in coffee shops, parks, and other locations around our beautiful Sunshine City. Our main goal is to build a joyful community where members can connect, feel supported, and learn together. In addition to our monthly events, we plan to have regular gatherings with a variety of purposes. These include, but are not limited to, nature walks, local festivals, visiting museums, sharing meals, learning about our city’s history and politics, volunteering, and taking action to help our community.

The Equal Rights Association (ERA NOW) began meeting following the 2016 election and was officially established as a nonpartisan, grassroots 501(c)(4) non-profit in 2019. Mission: To show up, stand up, and speak up for equal rights for all. Vision: We envision a respectful, just, and interconnected society. Principles: • We believe in fostering civil discourse and listening to different perspectives even if we disagree. • We believe in positive resistance to injustices and threats to our personal freedoms. • We believe education and learning about important issues is a key step to positive progress. • We believe in empowering and advocating for those experiencing injustice. • We believe building relationships and working together are best practices. • We believe in supporting local issues and public servants that are in harmony with the mission, vision, and principles of ERA NOW. Liberals of OKI (Oak Island, NC)
The Liberals of OKI is a grassroots organization based on Oak Island, NC. We focus on spreading love and visibility through acts of kindness as well as promoting local campaigns and protests. We meet in person for social events as well as political. We welcome members of any party affiliation who support the resistance to Trump. Anyone in SE NC is welcome to apply. We have over 550 members with frequent real life events. We have a weekly dog walk, monthly, happy hours, painting parties, and holiday celebrations. We are so much more than comments in the cloud. If you l ike to paddle or cycle, we do that too! We will host a PRIDE celebration, post card writing parties, meet-and-greets with local candidates, and rallies/protests. We also have an action-item text campaign that helps members reach out to representatives three mornings a week. We pride ourselves on fighting hate in all its forms and in being allies to all marginalized groups.
