Grace & Grit of Steele Creek
A local grassroots group of women coming together with purpose, perseverance, and passion. ✨ Who We Are We are women of resilience, bringing grace under pressure and grit in action, united by a deep sense of justice and a fierce love for our community. We show up for each other and for democracy with compassion, courage, and clarity. Whether you're new to activism or a seasoned troublemaker, there's a place for you here. 🔧 What We Do • Power Map Our Community We will identify key local and state leaders, vulnerable districts, and the pressure points where we can make an impact. Map-and-plan sessions will use Indivisible’s tools, LilSis.org and Red, Wine & Blue’s trainings. •Push for Local Resolutions and Pledges We will ask city councils, school boards, and elected leaders to publicly reject Project 2025 and any federal overreach. Members will be equipped with talking points, model resolutions, and organizing support. • Launch a Rapid Response Network We will work on creating a 'Hold the Line' team ready to respond to voter roll purges, press intimidation, immigration raids, or National Guard misuse. This network will be organized across secure platforms and ready to act. • From Protest to the Polls We will register voters, train poll monitors, and ensure our voices are heard at every level of government. • Own the Narrative We will take the mic and flood social media with our stories. Our upcoming #WhyIMarched campaign will highlight the women of Steele Creek and show the power of our movement in real terms. • Build Local Coalitions We will link arms with groups focused on racial justice, labor rights, youth advocacy, and climate action. Together we can amplify shared values and coordinate citywide resistance. 💡 Why We’re Here (and Why It Matters) The future of our democracy is on the line. The rise of authoritarianism, attacks on our rights, and Project 2025’s dangerous agenda demand that we act together. We're part of Red, Wine & Blue’s TroubleNation, a network of suburban women across the country rising up in defense of our freedoms. We believe power starts at the local level, and so does the resistance. We organize because we love our people and our community. And we’re done waiting for someone else to fix it. 🔥 What’s Next On No Kings Day, over 12.1 million people marched across the country. That number surpasses the 3.5 percent of the U.S. population that history shows is needed to trigger real political change. This is our moment. We cannot let the momentum fade. We need to begin building out focused action to create lasting change. In future meetings we will discuss the following options on which would be best to focus on and other potential ideas. Power Map Our Community We will identify key local and state leaders, vulnerable districts, and the pressure points where we can make an impact. Map-and-plan sessions will use Indivisible’s tools, LilSis.org and Red, Wine & Blue’s trainings. Push for Local Resolutions and Pledges We will ask city councils, school boards, and elected leaders to publicly reject Project 2025 and any federal overreach. Build Local Coalitions We will link arms with groups focused on racial justice, labor rights, youth advocacy, and climate action. Together we can amplify shared values and coordinate citywide resistance. Once we determine where our efforts can have the greatest impact, we will update this page. If you want to help shape the direction of this group and build something powerful with us, we invite you to join in. Just know this — you are not alone. Together, we can turn this movement into lasting change. 📬 Email us: [email protected] 📣 Join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/graceandgritofsteelecreek/

Southeast Ohio Unity Project (SOUP)
We are a group of concerned, motivated citizens in the southeastern region of Ohio, near the borders of Kentucky and West Virginia. We care greatly about the community where we live, work and play. We are concerned about current threats to our Democracy, and the effects they will have on our lives, and those of future generations. We believe in preserving basic human rights, supporting women’s rights to bodily autonomy, providing healthcare access for all, and upholding the protections of the U.S Constitution, specifically Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Speech. We believe that every citizen is entitled to the same rights regardless of race, gender or orientation. Some of our other beliefs: civility, decency, compassion, integrity, transparency and honesty. We welcome anyone with these same values and concerns. Our goals are focused on what we can do to help others be more informed and understand the complexities of the current shift in policies and actions of the Executive Branch, including those non-elected individuals who have been given unprecedented access to the government. We are a group that educates and provides practical information, including alternative avenues for consumer purchases - supporting small businesses and larger corporations whose values reflect our core beliefs. We also want to help people navigate through the myriad information channels to find accurate and reliable resources and information.
