Local Groups

Southeast Ohio Unity Project (SOUP)

We are a group of concerned and motivated people in southeast Ohio and neighboring communities who joined together because we were frustrated and dismayed at the direction of the United States government under its current leadership – but are hopeful that the power of people working together can overcome shared challenges and promote positive change. We combine activism with assistance – we believe working to benefit our local communities goes hand in hand with advocating for a fair and just government. We seek out worthy local institutions, particularly those endangered by national and state government actions, to bring community attention to their needs and to pitch in ourselves to help meet those needs. We also support small businesses and larger corporations that reflect our principles. SOUP seeks out and shares fact-based resources to combat rampant misinformation we believe endangers sound decision-making. SOUP is neither Republican nor Democrat, neither liberal nor conservative. Our focus is on creating common ground, bringing together people from all walks of life regardless of political affiliation. We believe we can transcend partisan divides because we are uncompromising advocates for democracy, the rule of law and the rights all people are entitled to under the U.S. Constitution. We believe everyone is entitled to these rights regardless of race, religion, gender, or orientation. And we believe in civility, decency, compassion, integrity, honesty and transparency. We feel these rights are increasingly endangered under current national leadership. We welcome members from everywhere on the political and cultural spectrum who share these beliefs and who resist the erosion of our fundamental constitutional rights

Rise and Rock

This group offers space and solidarity to vent our frustrations and concerns, and then get to work locally! If we are going to survive the next 4+ years, we have to come together and share the load. There's much to be done! Our broad goals are to form a strong community, and make a difference locally. Specific goals include electing progressive women to our school board, and defeating Congresswoman Boebert in the next election. Let's come together to celebrate our wins, lament our losses, and take action with joy! Our tag line is Rise and Rock: Resist, Rest, Refuel, Repeat! facebook.com/share/g/15u7AYXvd3

North Seattle Progressives

NSP has been operating since February, 2017. We are action-oriented and have written 10's of thousands of postcards each year, knocked on doors, educated ourselves and our community about issues and candidates, phonebanked, textbanked and more. Our activists live throughout the greater Seattle area and western Washington. We want to incorporate into our activism helping get the word out about the Trump/Republican agenda, Project 2025, because we believe that the more Americans that understand it, the more they will vote for candidates who believe in democracy and protecting individual rights, and against all who support this agenda. Please join us!
