Local Groups
Progressive Buzz
Progressive Buzz is an independent group of Red, Wine and Blue and TroubleNation (an arm of RWB) focused on protecting and saving our democracy by getting sh*t done! We welcome people who are new to politics, longtime activists, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, non-affiliated peeps...you get the idea. Come join us in creating a comfortable safe space where we can form new friendships, learn, commiserate, and share our feelings about what’s happening locally and across the country. Our judgement-free meetings will be in someone’s home or at a fun venue like a wine bar to keep the vibe chill. During our meetings, some of us might drink wine, some of us might not, some of us may curse, some of us may not - all that matters is that you're okay with it either way. In addition to the social and bonding time, we will be getting down to business. We'll incorporate a brief educational component into each meeting with easy, localized calls to action. It might be as simple as calling elected officials, attending a school board meeting, or completing a training. You know us women, we get it done! The group is based out of Brigham City and open to anyone in the state who is willing to make the drive (we'll try to find venues all along the Layton-Logan front)! If you are unsure whether this group is for you, please check out https://redwine.blue/who-we-are/ and https://redwine.blue/our-values/

WAVE: (Williamson County) WillCo Activating Voter Engagement
WAVE (Williamson County- WillCo Activating Voter Engagement) is a nonpartisan grassroots movement committed to educating, empowering, and activating the electorate across Tennessee. If you are feeling politically abandoned, bewildered, or (temporarily) powerless, we're your people! We believe in returning to fair representation of all constituents, informed and educated voters, and courageous civic engagement. In an era of gerrymandering, polarization, and assumed party voting, WAVE advocates for a responsible electorate that won't be taken for granted. Our votes are earned - not assumed - and our voices won’t be silenced. Our group started in Williamson County, Tennessee, and our gerrymandered lines include (but not limited to): Williamson, Benton, Maury, Davidson, Dickson, Sumner, Stewart, Wilson, Montgomery, Hickman, Giles, Lewis, Humphreys, Perry, Lawrence, and Wayne counties. Bottomline, we welcome all Tennesseans to our group. Our non-partisan goals aren’t bound by party affiliation. We’re listening, talking, and working together to hold elected leaders (local, state, and federal) accountable to the people they serve. Help us build a coalition of educated, empowered Tennessee voters by joining the WAVE today.

Coalition Builders for Action
Our group, the Leona Huddle, is an established activist group since 2017 with about 35 or so regularly attending members at our monthly meetings. We have a Facebook page (Leona Huddle) and our members get a weekly newsletter. We are now expanding to add a quarterly meetup to include other activist groups in Tampa to work together to register voters, contact elected officials about our issues, write letters and emails, make calls, canvass, etc.

Red Wing Snowstorm
Snowstorm was founded at a kitchen table after Donald Trump’s election in 2016. The founders wanted to create a safe place (private Facebook group) for the community to share fears, concerns, support and information. In 2021 Snowstorm hosted a Reproductive Rights Rally (150 participants) and in 2023 a public demonstration was held in the park supporting reproductive rights. More organizing events are planned for the 2024 election season.
