We Are Trouble
Have you been trying to figure out how to do more to fight extremism, or you’re looking to be part of a like-minded community of troublemakers? Do you want a place to laugh, complain freely about politics, drink wine (or your favorite beverage of choice), and connect with like-minded people? Then you are in the right place! We Are Trouble will help you find other members in Centre County who share your frustration with the rise of extremism in this community. Yes — they do exist! Even if you feel alone, we guarantee, you are not! And guess what — it will be fun! It's fun to DO something to help create meaningful, lasting change. You don't have to identify as an “activist”, and you don't have to attend formally structured meetings. Join We Are Trouble to become informed, share your experiences in a social setting, and work with others who share your values to protect democracy on the local, state and national level.

Birmingham/Bloomfield Families for Social Action
Please join our Facebook page to find upcoming events: www.facebook.com/share/g/1BK9Hap5Ft About What: Birmingham/Bloomfield Families for Social Action is a locally-based group of progressive citizens. We seek to create a centralized platform to build community, increase awareness, and share opportunities for collective action among our members. Who: Residents of Birmingham, Bloomfield, and the surrounding cities are welcome to join. If you live in SE Michigan, we'd love for you to join our group. Why: We seek to combat a news cycle that feels overwhelming and demoralizing by focusing on the everyday acts that we as citizens can take to make a real difference in our communities - local, national, and global. Group members are encouraged to share volunteer opportunities, fundraising drives, and awareness events that reflect our common beliefs as listed below. [Please note: all fundraising drives must support registered non-profits (check here: apps.irs.gov/app/eos). If the organization isn’t listed, please ask admin]. Common Beliefs: In this community, we believe: - All People Are Equal - Diversity Makes Us Stronger - Black Lives Matter - No Human Is Illegal - Science Is Real - Women’s Rights Are Human Rights - Climate Change Is a Crisis - Water Is Life - Love Is Love - Kindness Is Everything - People and Planet Over Profit - We Can Make a Difference “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” (Margaret Mead)

Bonfire Massachusetts - Cambridge/Strawberry Hill
This Bonfire is for women who live in Cambridge's Strawberry Hill neighborhood (including Aberdeen & Homer Ave). We are keeping this group hyper-local, bringing us together for monthly in person gatherings in our living rooms, backyards, community center, cafes, etc... The goal of this Bonfire is to create connection and a felt sense of community in our little corner of Cambridge. In addition to monthly gatherings focused on personal, professional, and civic engagement, we also share resources and opportunities like taking care of the bike path, heading out for dancing, collecting food donations, neighborly advice, etc.... If you are looking for connection and joy, seeking inspiration or have some to share, we have a seat by our fire for you. Bonfire was created for women of all ages and backgrounds, but is not exclusive to women. Created in partnership with Red Wine & Blue’s TroubleNation, Bonfire groups are local communities led by volunteer organizers who want to bring people together where they live. TroubleNation provides the tools, training, and support to help these groups grow and thrive — while keeping community building at the center. As a sober person, the head of the Strawberry Hill Bonfire does not like having the word "wine" involved with the name of this organization, but understands it's origins and why it is being used. Please know our monthly Bonfire gatherings are alcohol free. If you don't live in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood of Cambridge, please click "Contact Organizer" above so the head of the group can talk to you about what it would be like for you to start your own Bonfire. It would be amazing to have more groups in Massachusetts. If you do live in Strawberry Hill, please click above to "Join Group". Don't worry about answering the questions about what you are interested in or whether you campaign or are part of other groups. Instead, please share what street you live on and who referred you to this Bonfire. 🔥🔥🔥
