Local Groups
Stars and Stripes, South Bay
Our country is in deep trouble and the rise of extremism threatens the values we hold dear. Most of us have never been politically active before—but we know NOW is the time for us to come together, to step up, speak out, and ACT. Our strength lies in our diversity. We are Republicans and Democrats. We come from different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences, but we are united by a common purpose: to create a safe, inclusive space where people can connect, learn, lean on one another, and be empowered to take meaningful action. We are committed to building a trusted source of information, free from misinformation and fear. Here, you’ll find a community that values respectful conversation, collaboration, and real active solutions. Together we can make a difference. Thank you for being part of this movement. Let’s get to work. We are based in Torrance, CA.

Good Trouble Mendocino County
Welcome To All of You The great news is that just a few weeks ago, when I attended my first Zoom Meeting with Red Wine & Blue to listen to Heather Cox Richardson detail what Project 2025 is, and why we should be concerned, there were only a small number of TroubleNation Groups, mostly in the midwest in about 5 states. That presentation was so well attended and responded to, that in the past two weeks, they have had requests for more than 350 new TroubleNation groups starting up, just like us. California had no groups and now they have many starting up. So we are part of a very exciting grassroots movement that is gaining momentum. The goal of the Zoom Meeting on July 15th was to make sure voters are aware of Project 2025. At the time, only 30% of Americans had heard anything about it. That is already turning around. In the past two weeks, more than 50% of voters have heard mention of it, and our goal is to make sure 70% or more know the dangers it poses, before the Democratic Convention takes place. I look forward to working with you. Let's make it spread! THREE GOALS- 1. Educate yourself about Project 2025 and spread the word to as many people as possible. 2. Do all we can to support the candidates that believe in DIVERSITY INCLUSION and SUPPORT A GENUINE DEMOCRACY. 3. Do all we can to ensure that we keep the Senate and flip the House so that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz can make the kind of real progress they envision. There are 22 Congressional races that are virtual TOSS-UPS- could go either way with a push, that we can influence. There are 7 Senate seats that are TOSS UPS. And there are a number of critical races in Swing States where the GOP is putting lots of MAGA money into unseating Democrats in the Senate. We will be talking about those to keep people tuned in and need to about how support the Democrats however we can. Feel free to look around the TroubleNation site. It is is LOADED with information and resources on every topic imaginable. I am sure you will find lots of valuable information. So far, it appears that Tuesdays are the best evening for meetings I am hoping to keep any future meetings to once a month or less- only when critically necessary. Otherwise, I think we can communicate effectively via this web page, don't you? We will use it to work out concerns, answer questions and post events and upcoming podcasts that will keep us updated on the latest information. So glad you're all here- Melissa Phillips

Triad Actioneers - Greater Triad Area NC
Our local group will connect people ready for action in our community who want to work with others to protect democracy on the local, state, and national levels. This Team will meet monthly to discuss relevant topics, share actions needed immediately, and rally our troops to take action. We welcome people to champion an issue, inform the group on it, and plan action for it. As interest grows in the Triad, we will host even larger gatherings to share information and most importantly, share ACTIONS needed to protect our local, state, and national democracy. With numerous battles being fought regarding topics important to human rights throughout the state of NC, Triad Actioneers formed in the Spring of 2023 to offer a central location for information sharing. Our members found it difficult to keep up with all of the information on each of the important topics. We now team up with other community groups to know how and when to take action for greater impact regarding a hot topic. To alleviate frustration and develop action that will make a positive change, a champion will bring current information and specific needed actions to each meeting regarding the following topics: Education School Budget School Vouchers BOE Updates Freedom to Parent Trans Initiatives Reproductive Health ...any other relevant topic that is key to defending democracy. Thank you for being a badass by wanting to take action to defend our democracy! We look forward to meeting you soon.
