Hello and welcome everyone! I'm the founder of Like Minded Women but I am not a techie so that's why you haven't seen us on this site before. However, we are an active group located in Annapolis, in the neighborhood of Sherwood Forest. We actually have members across the country but much of our activity centers around Annapolis. We are Team Trouble USA! We are looking for member to sign up, make friends and work with each other to make a difference. Be apart of something that millions of Americans are doing, standing up for what we believe in! Red, Blue, we are all American's and we are all people. The media, and the powers that be are trying to divide us. We can only be strong if we stand together, fight for our rights and make a difference. Our group will gather virtually and physically, brainstorm and rally to tackle many injustices together. Partnering with other nationwide groups to help spread awareness, give people hope, lend a hand, and over all, be there for one another. Together we stand, divided we fall! As this group grows, we will be creating different divisions for the matters that are concerning our members. so each member will be working towards goals that mean the most to them.

This group connects like-minded people who want to work with others who share their values toward the broad goal of protecting democracy on the local, state, and national levels. Topics may include (but are certainly not limited to 😊): • Stopping Project 2025/Agenda 47 • Stopping book banning in public schools and public libraries • Supporting public education • Supporting the separation of Church & State • Supporting DEI, in all forms • Supporting common-sense gun control • Voter education • Climate change education & reduction • Reproductive rights, including access to contraceptives, and fertility treatments • Protecting fundamental rights, human rights, and access to government entitlements Goals: • Become educated, then share that knowledge and those resources • Provide voter education and encourage voting, up and down ballot • Call out misinformation and lies, while spreading truth • Protect Democracy • Develop friendships, gain skills & knowledge, and raise all of us up!! "Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America." -- John Lewis I don't know if I'm the right person to start this, but I see a need for progressive activism in the IE. Let's start small and see what we can do! I'm passionate about the systemic issues, the ones that make it impossible to vote for the candidates I believe in; instead, I have to vote defensively, wasting a vote for change in the necessary effort to protect the rights we still have. I want to see rank-choice voting in every state, every state should sign the Interstate Compact, Citizens United needs to be overturned. If we can generate energy for these changes, we have a shot at actually making a difference!
