Coalition Builders for Action

Our group, the Leona Huddle, is an established activist group since 2017 with about 35 or so regularly attending members at our monthly meetings. We have a Facebook page (Leona Huddle) and our members get a weekly newsletter. We are now expanding to add a quarterly meetup to include other activist groups in Tampa to work together to register voters, contact elected officials about our issues, write letters and emails, make calls, canvass, etc.

Friends of Democracy CD6

Friends of Democracy CD6 is an independent PAC established by Republican, Independent, and Democratic voters from the Sixth Congressional District in Virginia. In the current crisis, we trust Ken Mitchell for Congress. He is a man of honor who will defend democracy, support local communities, and work for the common good. While we sometimes post information about Tim Kaine for Senate, and Joe Biden for President, our primary focus is sending Ken Mitchell to Congress. As an independent PAC, we do not coordinate with candidates’ campaigns. We provide information and resources such as signs, literature, and social media posts for others to share. We engage in voter outreach to register new voters and urge everyone to participate in the election this year.

Cup of Sugar

As you all know, in Heather Cox Richardson’s opinion, our conversations with people really do create change. "Talk to neighbors and friends one-to-one," she often says. "That matters more than anything." Conversations can spark real change. We believe that talking one-to-one with neighbors, friends, and even everyday acquaintances—like your barista or mail carrier—makes a difference in protecting democracy. Our 'Cup of Sugar' recipe cards are tools for these conversations. Use them as conversation starters, sharing them when you talk to others. Together, let's protect democracy—one conversation at a time. When using trusted ingredients for a cake, we know the cake will taste good. Likewise, the ingredients for a democracy are laws and policies that protect freedom and the rule of law for all Americans. The purpose of Cup of Sugar is to offer a way to see the differences in the ingredients between HARRIS/Walz and TRUMP/Vance/Project 2025. Still, far too many Americans still do not know about Project 2025. Should Donald Trump be elected, most do not know what exactly will be served on every single kitchen table nationwide. Cup of Sugar cards are available to all TroubleNation groups. They are free as long as supplies last. It's something beautiful to give away. No postage needed! No uploading necessary. A card is just between you and me and just between you and yours. Which one of these recipes do you choose for your future? HARRIS/Walz or TRUMP/Vance? Which recipe will taste best for your future?
