Welcome to G.R.I.T. Greater Rochester Integrity & Truth. A Community for Democracy. OUR NAME Stands for a variety of words, heralded by the determination and grit we'll need to protect democracy. ABOUT US Our grassroots group connects like-minded people in the Greater Rochester, NY community who want to work with others to protect our democracy on the local, state and national levels. WHO WE ARE We are everyday people from all backgrounds, of all ages and all persuasions with the same resolve to make America greater than we've been. An America for ALL the people, by the people. OUR MISSION 1. Support Community. A safe space where we can… sort through disinformation together, navigate how to have fact-based conversations with others, and shed our feelings of helplessness and outrage. A place where we are shored up just in knowing that we're not alone. 2. Seek Knowledge. To better understand this political landscape, we share fact-based information and resources and host a variety of smart speakers. 3. Take Action. Sometimes small, sometimes big. From postcards and canvassing to calls and protests—and everything in between. HOW DO WE CONNECT We meet in person for real conversations and actions every other Monday in Fairport Village. Voices for Common Ground
We are a group of diverse and forward-thinking women and men united to pursue positive change for our community. We do this by educating ourselves and others about meaningful political concerns, such as advocating for women's reproductive freedom and supporting the LGBTQ+ community, so we are empowered to discuss issues with clarity and confidence. We want to make politics safe to discuss again as ultimately, we seek to lift up the dignity and rights of all citizens.

Defending Democracy in Hampden County
DDHC is a local organization in Hampden County, Massachusetts, focused on educating and supporting our community, bringing together like-minded people of various backgrounds, and standing together in the fight against authoritarianism. As a nonpartisan group of concerned citizens, we work together to protect democracy against extremism and misinformation, to protect human rights, voting rights, ensure fair elections, and promote civic engagement in the various towns that comprise Hampden County. "I do believe very strongly that America's democracy is only as strong as our willingness to fight for it - every single person, their willingness to fight for and respect the importance of our democracy. Momentum Blue Seattle
We are a women-led group in the greater Seattle area working to defend democracy and support one another through meaningful action, community, and courage. You can visit us at: https://sites.google.com/view/mbseattle/home We Stay Grounded in Three Commitments: 1. Resist and speak up — through action, visibility, and mutual encouragement. 2. Build community — We stay organized and connected with like-minded people and partner groups. This helps us to find sanity, hope, and even joy in the work. 3. Reimagine a better future — We follow the unfolding fascist disaster closely, but we also keep our eye on the ball of reimagining the future we will build on the ashes of this time. We meet both virtually and in person, so we keep membership local to the greater Seattle area. Members stretch from Shoreline to Renton and the Eastside — with a few “long-distance cousins” cheering from afar. Our activities include: Weekly check-in and planning meetings online. Postcard writing parties. An online monthly reading/discussion group. Creation and distribution of protest signs and buttons. This is probably what we are best known for locally. See our Signs for Democracy! page and our BUTTONS page. We also coordinate a T-SHIRT fundraiser for WAND (Washington Neighborhood Defense).

If you're here to make good trouble, you're in the right place Our committees focus on women’s rights, racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, education, environmental justice, and more—amplifying voices and driving change. From guerrilla art to guest speakers, we’re building awareness, action, and community. And yes—we have fun doing it. Whether we’re gathering over wine, teaming up for creative action, or just sharing a laugh, we know movements are stronger when relationships are real. If you believe in democracy and good trouble, you’ve found your people. Let’s motivate. Let’s organize. Let’s make good trouble. We meet the first Monday of every month from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
