Main Street Reading+ Club Colorado

Main Street Reading+ Club is group that seeks to connect, challenge, build community and inspire each other through the power of multimedia knowledge. Our Reading "Plus" club goes beyond books at Monthly in-person Reverse Reading Club events. We also are working to pull together guides you can use while reading at home. What is a Reverse Reading Club? A book discussion before the book! You show up and bring your brilliant mind. You can buy food and drinks when we host at local business locations or bring food when we host at local library locations. The Real Majority Holyoke

*NEW GROUP*Holyoke, MA: Please join The Real Majority Holyoke to talk about ways to create appropriate avenues of community building and solidarity in the face of a constitutional crisis. We think any local movement in Holyoke needs to directly reflect the concerns of the community, especially our most disenfranchised and marginalized residents. It is important to acknowledge that many in our predominately Puerto Rican city have been oppressed by both parties. It is perhaps more important to recognize the level of risk is multiplied for most of our community. When they come for our neighbors, STAND UP FIGHT BACK. It is necessary to organize an opposition to the actions of the current administration which is local to our city but also is careful to avoid further harm to our neighborhoods. This page and group are not affiliated with any political party. Our cause is the equitable realization of those basic rights promised at the founding of our nation and resistance to further oppression. Birmingham/Bloomfield Families for Social Action

Please join our Facebook page to find upcoming events: www.facebook.com/share/g/1BK9Hap5Ft About What: Birmingham/Bloomfield Families for Social Action is a locally-based group of progressive citizens. We seek to create a centralized platform to build community, increase awareness, and share opportunities for collective action among our members. Who: Residents of Birmingham, Bloomfield, and the surrounding cities are welcome to join. If you live in SE Michigan, we'd love for you to join our group. Why: We seek to combat a news cycle that feels overwhelming and demoralizing by focusing on the everyday acts that we as citizens can take to make a real difference in our communities - local, national, and global. Group members are encouraged to share volunteer opportunities, fundraising drives, and awareness events that reflect our common beliefs as listed below. [Please note: all fundraising drives must support registered non-profits (check here: apps.irs.gov/app/eos). If the organization isn’t listed, please ask admin]. Common Beliefs: In this community, we believe: - All People Are Equal - Diversity Makes Us Stronger - Black Lives Matter - No Human Is Illegal - Science Is Real - Women’s Rights Are Human Rights - Climate Change Is a Crisis - Water Is Life - Love Is Love - Kindness Is Everything - People and Planet Over Profit - We Can Make a Difference “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Blue Blazers

We want correct, factual information to share with friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances. We want to express how important this election is, not just for the next 4 years, but for the future of our democracy. We are in Southwest Georgia, and have people, men and women, in our county and surrounding counties that are interested in our mission. We believe Red, Wine & Blue/TroubleNation is the avenue we want to pursue to get the job done.
