REQUESTING AN IN PERSON TOWN HALL MEETING WITH REP. THOMAS KEAN, JR. in 2026Finding Kean Fridays is a grassroots group of NJ07 constituents that has tried reaching out to our Congressional Representative asking for proper representation in our district. For one year we have been requesting a live, in-person town hall and all we have received is crickets from Congressman Kean. We must continue to hold our elected officials accountable to their constituents.179 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sonia S.

Senator Bucco MUST Step Down as Roxbury Counsel!Senator Bucco is demonstrating a clear conflict of interest and has NOT done his due diligence or provided any roadblocks for the Roxbury warehouse facility. He is operating in direct conflict to the desires of the Roxbury Town Council. He must be pressured to step aside so a lawyer committed to protecting Roxbury can be retained. In addition to the issues of morality, there are financial and infrastructure concerns. The warehouse was zoned as a warehouse...there is not enough water or sewar capacity. The police, fire and other support systems in Roxbury and the surrounding area will be impacted.636 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Kathleen C.

Tell Dalfen Industrial to CANCEL Sale of Roxbury Warehouse to ICEAs outlined in the statement by the Roxbury Town Council, "We must reiterate in the strongest possible terms that this property is not an appropriate location for a facility of this nature in a suburban community and is an unapproved use. Its placement within a residential area, combined with significant limitations in water and sewer infrastructure, should have been immediate and disqualifying considerations. Furthermore, our volunteer fire department and EMS personnel, as well as our 42-member police department, are dedicated to serving the needs of Roxbury residents and are not structured to absorb the demands such a facility would impose. To date, the police department has already dedicated approximately $20,000 to this effort which has limited services to our community. The projected loss of approximately $1.8 million annually in tax revenue—impacting the Township, our school district, and Morris County—represents an estimated $85 million loss over the next 30 years. These financial and infrastructure realities present serious and lasting consequences for our community." In addition, and most importantly, the human toll will be devastating. The expansion of ICE operations in our communities will be a certainty as they try to keep 1,500 beds filled in this for profit detention system. This system has held children beyond the legal limits, has not allowed due process or legal representation, has held citizens and legal residents without explanation. The system lacks appropriate nutrition, and medical care and does not provide for other basic human needs, including religious items and access to clergy.2,786 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Kathleen C.

IVOTE: Illuminate Voters To EmpowerVirginia votes every year, and specific districts have additional special elections at odd times throughout the year as needed to fill vacant seats. When reaching out to people about voting during Get Out the Vote events, we typically ask, "Have you voted yet in the upcoming election?" The most common response to this question by far is, "What election?" Fewer than one fourth of visitors to a 2025 Special Election voting information table in Fairfax County in Fall 2025 were aware of a special election for U.S. House of Representatives in their district. Once a voter becomes aware of an election that is outside of the 4 year Presidential cycle in November, the next step is finding out who is on their ballot and where and when to cast that ballot. The current system requires numerous clicks to search each of those pieces of information. It is time consuming and confusing and has the impact of discouraging the low-information voter. For these reasons, we propose a nonpartisan website that supports a search by address which provides all of these pieces of information--not more links to go searching-- on a single page. A voter should be able to find all of the information on a single page so that they know where to vote, when to vote, what to bring, who the candidates are, what the referenda are, as well as links to learn more about the candidates and referenda so that they can inform themselves about the impact of the decision they're going to make on their ballot.212 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Andrea P.

Support the SAFE AIR ActThe SAFE AIR (State Airport Facilities Enforcing Accountability in Immigration Removals) Act • Protects constitutional rights and civil liberties. • Ensures taxpayer funds are not used to subsidize unlawful deportations. • Uses the state’s proprietary authority to demand accountability and uphold the rule of law. As Senator Fahy stated: “The federal government’s respect for due process, under the U.S. Constitution, is not optional; it is the bedrock of our democracy. This legislation sends a clear message: if you want to do business with New York State, you must respect the rule of law, and the constitutional rights afforded to every person on American soil.”308 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Sara M.

Universities in the United States Maintaining Their DEI PoliciesWe recommend that once there is a sizable number of signatures to this petition, that students, faculty, staff, and alumni at a university send a letter to the president of their university, urging them to maintain their DEI policies. As an example, the following is a letter that will be sent to the president of the University of Maine at Orono in this regard: https://www.change.org/p/maintaining-dei-policies-at-university-of-maine-at-orono Dear President Ferrini-Mundy, As students, faculty, staff, and alumni of The University of Maine at Orono, and people who support universities maintaining their DEI policies, we urge you to do your utmost to preserve the DEI policies at the University of Maine at Orono. We understand the complications and dangers involved in doing so, and we also appreciate your efforts to continue these policies while changing DEI names to avoid negative consequences from the Trump administration. However, we are concerned that as pressures mount there may be more motivation to agree to changes in DEI policies in addition to name changes, and we are concerned that this would compromise the basic values that are at the foundations of this university. We appreciate the statements of Interim Dean of Students Andrea Gifford in her reassurance that the university’s DEI policies are not changing in spite of the name changes, and it is our hope that this continues. Along these lines we recommend that you explore alternative sources of funding to not be dependent on the Trump administration in regard to the university's DEI policies. Thank you very much for your continued efforts to preserve DEI policies at The University of Maine at Orono. An Open Letter to Congressman Thomas Kean, Jr.: Your Constituents Seek Answers.-continued- • As Robert Hubbell says in a recent newsletter, “Virtually every executive order signed by Trump in his second term has violated a congressional statute or the Constitution. Every dollar of congressionally appropriated funding that Trump has withheld violates the Appropriations Clause of the Constitution or the Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Trump’s actions in impounding funds justify impeachment, conviction, and removal from office” (Today’s Edition Newsletter, 7/22/2025). So, our question is: How do you justify, as a sitting member of the U.S. Congress, allowing the head of the Executive Branch to repeatedly violate his oath of office to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States”? • Finally, the astonishing assault on the Capitol by partisans of the outgoing Republican President on January 6, 2021 stunned us all. Shortly afterward, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated the obvious: “There’s no question – none – that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it. The people who stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president.” He then disgraced himself as a partisan equivocator by claiming that “we have no power to convict and disqualify a former office holder who is now a private citizen,” thus eliding the fact that Trump was the sitting President between January 6 and January 20, during which time a responsible leader of the Republican Party would have taken immediate action, as was done by responsible Republican leaders when the lawlessness of the Nixon administration became obvious to everyone. So, our question is: You have publicly stated your belief that Former President Biden was duly and fairly elected in 2020. How can you continue to support and even praise President Trump when the whole premise of his claim to legitimacy is based on an outrageous lie – a lie that he continues to proclaim -- that he actually won the 2020 election? We would, of course, prefer you to answer these and other questions at a well-advertised live and in-person town hall open to all your constituents in NJ CD-7. If you are still uncomfortable with such a framework, perhaps you would be willing to meet with us privately at some time during the August recess?289 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Sonia S.

Tell NJ Rep. Tom Kean, Jr. to Vote NO on Federal Concealed Carry MandateThis means people with dangerous histories, like those convicted of violent crimes, domestic abuse, or stalking, could carry a concealed gun in states that wouldn't otherwise let them. It means that out-of-state visitors with no firearm safety training, no permit, and no background check would be allowed to carry hidden, loaded handguns within our borders. Further, police often have no way to verify if an out-of-state permit is valid - - meaning they would be unable to confirm if a person showing a carry permit is a law-abiding gun owner. And because the legislation would even allow concealed carry by some people with no permit at all, out-of-state visitors could be armed without being screened by a background check, and law enforcement would have no permit to evaluate. It is vital to block this mandate. We must put pressure on Tom Kean Jr. to vote against this mandate.219 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Sonia S.

Protect CO School Libraries 2025What this Bill Does: It requires all school districts to adopt a local policy outlining how they choose books and especially how they will decide if a book will be removed from their library should someone challenge it. The law explicitly protects the staff involved from retaliation if they are following state law. WHY the LAW is NEEDED: We need to protect the public school libraries in the State of Colorado. • Times have changed. We need to protect public school libraries, students, staff, parents, communities and Colorado. • Colorado STUDENTS in public schools have had their rights to access information violated when books were abruptly pulled off shelves and out of classrooms without clear decision-making criteria. • Staff, board & community members in Colorado have been retaliated against for demanding the rights of ALL parents and ALL students are respected. • Colorado public school STUDENTS have been prevented from learning when resources were removed or denied to them based on the whims and narrow biases of a handful of people, politicians and activists. • Some Colorado schools, districts and communities failed to realize they needed a library policy until it was too late! • Colorado PARENTS have had their rights as parents DENIED by school boards and staff who DENIED their children access to information in their school and classroom libraries. • Political activists are being trained by extremist groups to sow chaos in public schools and districts, using book censorship and fear to undermine public schools and intimidate people. • Political activists in Colorado are exploiting weak or missing school library policies. • "Serial book banners" outside Colorado directed extremist groups in our state to use their lists of "objectionable books" to barrage and overwhelm our schools and districts. • Political operatives and extremists keep catching Colorado Districts, Schools, Board & Communities off-guard because policies don't exist.37 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Liz W.
