To: NJ State Senator Bucco

Senator Bucco MUST Step Down as Roxbury Counsel!

Senator Bucco, your platform and voting record demonstrates your unequivocal support for ICE and its tactics to fill concentration camps in New Jersey.  Your votes demonstrate a lack of concern for the inhumane treatment that is taking place at Delaney Hall and the Elizabeth Detention Facility.  You serve on the Judiciary Committee in NJ while Trump Administration has admitted to violating over 50 courts order in the last 10 weeks here in New Jersey.

Your role as legal counsel is Roxbury is a conflict of interest as the Town Council has expressed its strong commitment to keep ICE out of Roxbury.

Step down as their counsel.  Reconsider your positions.  Consider your reputation and your values.  This version of ICE is NOT operating with legality or morality and our communities, those you claim to represent will be hurt!

Why is this important?

Senator Bucco is demonstrating a clear conflict of interest and has NOT done his due diligence or provided any roadblocks for the Roxbury warehouse facility.  He is operating in direct conflict to the desires of the Roxbury Town Council.  He must be pressured to step aside so a lawyer committed to protecting Roxbury can be retained.

In addition to the issues of morality, there are financial and infrastructure concerns.  The warehouse was zoned as a warehouse...there is not enough water or sewar capacity.  The police, fire and other support systems in Roxbury and the surrounding area will be impacted.
