Indivisible NWA is hosting a visibility event this Saturday, April 26, 11:30 am-1 pm, where we ask Rep. Womack to host an in-person town hall.
When: 11:30 am to 1 pm, Saturday, April 26. Rain or shine, but please be weather-aware. Where: Public Sidewalks around Har-Ber High School, 300 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
Details: This is a non-violent protest. We'll gather at the Harps parking lot, 1007 Jones Road (Corner of Sunset and Jones Road, Springdale) at 11:30 a.m. Harps is three blocks from Har-Ber High School. Walk if you are able, but we'll also shuttle folks from Harps. We encourage full cars -- better for the environment and less disruptive to the surrounding community. There's also plenty of parking in the neighborhood.
We Found Womack! After a diligent search, and a town hall in his absence, Indivisible NWA has located our missing congressional representative. It turns out Rep. Steve Womack is fresh off a "fact-finding" trip to the Indo-Pacific region, because there's nothing closer to home that needs his attention, right?
Womack will be at Har-Ber High School in Springdale Saturday, April 26 from 1-3 pm for his Academy Day. He'll be talking only to students interested in ROTC service, not all his constituents, but we can still let him know we miss seeing him at town halls!
If you've watched the Trump administration gut vital services including Social Security and the Veterans Administration; if you've watched people being deported to El Salvador without due process; if you've watched an unelected billionaire fire thousands of government workers without cause while stealing your personal data and through it all asked yourself, "Where's Womack?," come on out.
We'll gather, peacefully and legally, on the public sidewalks around Har-Ber High School with signs, banners and costumes, if that's your thing (think "Where's Waldo?"). Tell Womack to take his oath to defend the Constitution seriously, and schedule a face-to-face town hall with his constituents ASAP, because we have some concerns.
Signs: There are a lot of things to be angry about these days, but let's focus on insisting that Womack do his job. That means congressional oversight, faithful adherence to the Constitution, due process, and being responsive to his constituents. We hired him, and we can fire him!
See you Saturday!
