WTP Movie Club: Watch the John Lewis Documentary, get inspired and share your thoughts

July 17, 2025 will mark five years since the death of the iconic civil rights leader and politician John Lewis and a national day of action called Good Trouble Lives On. Red Wine & Blue and other organizations are hosting Good Trouble events all over the country on this date, and we will post local events on this page as we are made aware of them.

We The People is hosting a movie club Zoom on Monday, July 14th at 6:30 pm for this group to connect and reflect on the documentary about Congressman Lewis' life called Good Trouble. Check out the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_oEkOdIXdo

We hope that you will view the documentary on or before July 14 on one of the various streaming platforms where it is available, so we can discuss the film both in the context of Rep. Lewis' life and actions and the ways he continues to inspire us to make good trouble, necessary trouble in 2025 and beyond. Here is an option to stream on Amazon Prime: https://www.amazon.com/John-Lewis-Good-Trouble/dp/B087QQQVKC

Please RSVP via this event page. You will receive a link to join the conversation via Zoom the day before the event. Let us know how we can make this movie club as engaging and impactful as possible. We look forward to "seeing" you then.
