Vouchers Hurt Ohio Hilliard Forum

School vouchers were originally designed to provide low-income families from designated low performing schools to attend participating nonpublic charter schools.  An expansion in 2023 lifted the income cap for participating families.  In 2025, Ohio is expected to spend 1 BILLION dollars on Vouchers resulting in a funding loss of $4.3 million to Hilliard City Schools.

Hilliard RBG is hosting a community forum on Ohio’s EdChoice Voucher and Vouchers Hurt Ohio Lawsuit.  You’ll learn the history of Ohio’s voucher program, the financial impact of vouchers on Hilliard City Schools, get an update on the EdChoice/Vouchers Hurt Ohio Lawsuit, and learn what steps you can take to support Hilliard City Schools and the lawsuit.  Our speakers will include:
Dr William Phillis - Executive Director of Ohio Coalition for Equity & Adequacy of School
                                          Funding
Charlie Wilson - Ohio Coalition for Equity & Adequacy of School Funding Steering
                                     Committee
