Volunteering with Crossroads Connection - sign up by Wednesday, July 10

As we gear up for the PWC Hunger-Free Rally on July 27, we have another opportunity to combat food insecurity in our own backyard.

Crossroads Connection works with counselors at Gainesville and Haymarket public schools to identify students who are impacted by food insecurity and provides food to those students for the weekend.

Let's keep the PWC Hunger-Free momentum going by turning out for Crossroads Connection, Wednesday, August 13, 6:15 p.m. That's the day when they'll be receiving a truckload of food donations that will need to be unloaded—that's where we come in!

It would be great if you could join us! And yes, school-age children are welcome! Just let us know how many volunteers to expect and the ages of any children in your group.

Crossroads Connection is located at 14241 John Marshall Highway, Gainesville, VA 20155.

Please sign up by Wednesday, July 10. We’ll reach out to answer any questions you may have.

Between May 2023 and April 2024, 43% of Prince William County residents reported not having enough food—a sharp increase from 36% the year before. This is now one of the highest rates in the Washington, D.C., metro area.

Let's do our part to make a real difference in the lives of local students facing food insecurity!

Thanks to Karen, for ensuring our members are connected with this opportunity!
