What to Expect:


💬 Connect: The first 15 - 30 minutes are open social time. Grab some snacks, meet new people, and catch up with the community.


✍️ Create: We'll kick things off with interactive activities like six-word memoirs, finish-the-line prompts, cento poems, community poems, and spoken word challenges. Everyone's invited to join in, whether you're planning to take the mic or just want to create alongside others.


🎤 Share: Then we'll open the mic for poetry, storytelling, songs, spoken word, and other creative expressions. Bring an original piece inspired by community and care, or share something from an author you love. Not performing? Just come listen and enjoy the show.


📣 Get Involved: Throughout the evening, we'll share ways to connect with organizing efforts in CD-7 and stay involved beyond the event.


🍪 Snacks and refreshments will be provided.


💚 We'll also be collecting donations to support The Fledge — QR codes will be available, and cash is accepted too.
