Using Joy to Organize and Change Communities

Badass women in history have always leaned into joy, creativity and community to bring change and push through difficult times. Actions by strong women leaders from the Civil Rights movement, the Black Panther Party and Women’s Rights organizers can help inspire us as we stand up for our rights today! Join us to learn this history and let’s discuss how we can successfully take their lessons of joy and community to make a difference right now.

Jillian Gaeta, historian, professor, and co-founder of Roots to Revolution will share her perspectives and engage us in conversation to sustain and inspire us as we find ways to create the world we want! Donations to the non-profit Roots to Revolution will be accepted.

We'll be there from 6:15 to 7:00 for beer, and social time!  Bring your own food or order from local restaurants who deliver!

Best parking is in the municipal lot off Morris, the Lafayette Garage by the train, the Vail lot, or on Dehart.  Each lot is about a 10 minute walk to the brewery.  We will be upstairs in the General's Quarters (steps only for access). No outside beverages.
