Urgent Rally to Support Trans Kids in PWCS!

Among Trump’s first actions after taking office were to issue Executive Orders declaring male and female are the only two sexes and that “gender identity…does not provide a meaningful basis for identification.”  These ExOs were then followed by an investigation by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR) into the NOVA school districts that were standing firm with the policies they have in place to protect gender diverse students. On July 25, 2025, the OCR demanded that all five counties rescind existing policies within 10 days.

We believe some counties may be considering complying, based on recent reporting. As the deadline is imminent, we need to let our school boards know that we will rally behind them in support of policies we know are better for ALL of our kids. We've collected the ways to help!

The Prince William County School Board will meet in a closed session on Thursday, August 7th at 6pm to discuss the Trump administration’s threat of “immediate enforcement actions”  if they don’t abandon their existing perfectly legal policies supporting trans/gender diverse kids’ rights in school.  

We can’t attend the closed meeting, but we can rally outside starting at 5pm to greet members as they arrive and encourage them to hold their ground! Let them know the community will stand behind them in support of ALL PWCS students!
