Understanding the Arizona Ballot Propositions

Voting begins in Arizona on October 9th with early voting.  Our upcoming AZ ballot will have 13 ballot propositions, many which are especially consequential and important to understand.  We have a few ballots that compete or counter each other, potentially creating confusion amongst the voters.  How prepared are you to decide how you will vote on these initiatives and also educate friends, family & your community?

Join us to learn more about these propositions and how we can get the word out!

Several of these propositions pose a risk to/or address: Reproductive/healthcare rights, voting accessibility and tamping down the ability for extremists to gain more control in government - particularly Propositions 133, 134, 136, 137, 139, 140.

We will have a special guest presentation by Blake Sacha, representing Better Ballot Arizona, with a fun "hands-on" demonstration of how open primaries work, which is proposed in Proposition 140 versus Proposition 133 which would require partisan primaries.   Blake will also discuss Propositions 134 (Signature distribution requirements for ballot initiatives), 136 (Early challenges to the Constitutionality of Citizens Initiative) and 137 (end term limits for state judges).

Laurie Buczek will present details on Proposition 140, which is the fundamental right to an abortion along with reviewing the other propositions on the ballot.

Register today and learn more about these propositions and how we can get the word out!
