About the Event: 

"It’s 2026—and Democracy is on the line. Will you step up and take action to help preserve our hard-won democratic norms freedoms, before they are crippled beyond repair?

You’ve seen the immense damage that Trump and MAGA have already done. They followed Project 2025 very closely (despite Trump disavowing it before the 2024 election), and now they want more. Venezuela. Greenland. ICE shootings in Minneapolis, Portland, and ______(?). Attacking opponents left and right. It’s downright scary.

And there’s more on the agenda… including possibly trying to cancel or invalidate the 2026 election.

2026 is also the year we Fight Back, and we NEED YOUR HELP. Please join us for an upcoming Time to Act training with Seattle Supports Democracy/Swing Left Seattle.

In this one-hour Zoom session, we’ll teach you how to:

-Take effective action to protect democracy (at whatever level you choose, from calling your reps and writing letters to direct action in the streets, and more). -Counter the anti-immigration agenda of the Trump administration and protect our friends and neighbors with different types of strategies. -Help register voters, turn them out to vote, and preserve free and fair elections for all.

We believe in taking positive action joyful (we find it's the best antidote for despair). We’ll help you identify the values and issues that are motivating you to speak out, then give you the skills and strategic knowledge to do it.
