The Hysterectomy of History...Over My Dead Body.

Get ready for some history in the making wrapped into history in a nutshell:
In 1933 after Hitler came to power, the Nazis began to implement changes in the education system. The Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service allowed for the dismissal of teachers who were deemed politically unreliable or of non-Aryan descent.
In this same year and into 1934, the Nazis began their campaign against "un-German" literature, leading to the infamous book burnings in May 1933, where thousands of books by Jewish authors and other dissenters were destroyed. Throughout the next 12 months, the regime took control of newspapers and magazines, consolidating media outlets under Nazi control. The Reich Press Law of 1933 restricted the press and allowed for censorship. Additionally, the Ministry of Propaganda was established, consolidating control over all forms of media, including film and radio.
The Nazis immediatly began to suppress dissent after coming to power, targeting political opponents, intellectuals, and anyone deemed a threat to the regime. The Night of the Long Knives in June 1934 eliminated potential rivals within the Nazi Party and sent a clear message about the consequences of dissent (think republicans that voted for the BBB that was clearly disastrous for their constituents- quid pro quo anyone?)
Here are the chapters of their playbook and of Project 2025:
Polarization and division
Control of information
Censorship and media control
Popoganda campaigns
Suppression of dissent
This is about consolidation of power, the control of public opinion, and creating a society that conforms to their totalitarian ideals.
WELCOME TO THE 1930s...2.0. We either succumb to their consequence, or we become their consequence. I prefer the latter.
Join us at Linda's house for a sign making event! We will be writing banned words on poster board for our banned words protest, connecting with each other, and doing what we do best - using community to f*ck up tyranny.
Truth does not hide from questioning. Words and topics are not inherently evil and an educated society does not fall victim to tyranny. This starts and ends with us.
PS: Linda's house is on a hammerhead lot, so please park on Fallatin Loop and walk up. Bring wine and/or snacks (as usual) as well as poster board for signs :)
