Teach Haiti: An Inspiring Evening with Miquette McMahon

Join LoCo Local and our friends from the YWCA in Elyria on Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 pm for a special presentation and book signing with Miquette McMahon. Ms. McMahon is a Haitian-born speaker, author, nonprofit leader, and the founder of Teach Haiti, an organization that provides high-quality, holistic education to children in Haiti. Her book, The Voice Poverty Cannot Silence, is a beautiful memoir of her life, and will be available to purchase.

She will be speaking and sharing stories about her life, her writings, and her important work. There will also be a book signing before and after the event.

You can find her book in the links below and wherever you get your books, if you choose to do that before our gathering.  We will also be collecting donations for her Sponsor a Student program which will be highlighted through McMahon's presentation and videos.
