TDOV Stand Up for Safe & Equal Schools

ALL of our kids deserve to learn in safe & equal schools, where their focus can be on their studies, their extracurriculars, and their friends-not on bullying, discrimination, or book bans.
That's why TAKE, the PA Coalition for Trans Youth, and our many partners have been working to draft a slate of bills that would set a positive standard for schools across Pennsylvania that makes it clear that LGBTQ kids are welcome in our schools. We know that when schools are safe & equal for queer and trans young people, ALL young people have better mental health and better experiences at those schools.
Now that our 4 Safe & Equal Schools bills (HB1997, HB1998, HB1999, and HB2024) are in the PA State House Education Committee, it's up to ALL of us to keep the pressure on to make sure they are passed out of committee-and that legislators vote YES on them in the full PA State House.
