Talking Across the Divide

Have you ever had a conversation where no amount of “common sense” seemed to land? Or maybe you don’t even begin conversations because you’re not sure where people stand and you’re not sure how to talk with them.  Sometimes people say things, and we wonder “Is that true?” and we don’t know how to engage in a conversation to seek clarity.

It’s hard to have conversations right now with people who hold different opinions or when we don’t know where people stand.  It’s easy to wonder why “they” think “that way”.  

We are going to explore these situations and will provide resources to help you connect with people in your family and community, as well as give you a chance to practice in a safe environment.

St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church has allowed us to meet in their Fellowship Hall this year with no cost to us.  We want to thank them for their generosity by supporting one of their community-focused missions:  Savings Suds.  Once each month they provide quarters and detergent to patrons of Squeaky Clean Laundromat, helping people maintain their personal health.  It is not uncommon for them to distribute $500 - $600 each time.  Please consider donating money – cash or a check to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church – and/or laundry detergent.

We will also be taking t-shirt orders and distributing those from the last order.  Doors open at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7:00pm
