About the Event: 

"If you are feeling discouraged or angered by the events of the last few weeks, you are not alone. But what can you do?

Join together with others who feel the same and are ready to TAKE ACTION to defend democracy! We need you!

This training will give you practical actions -- at all different levels of commitment -- that you can take every day, week, and month, all year long, to speak up and make a difference on the issues you care about, for your community and our country.

We'll also focus on the biggest priorities that week, so you can target your actions where it will do the most good.

Right now we're focusing on the NO KINGS day of protest on Saturday, June 14th. Tens of thousands of people all across the country are going to be countering Trump's military parade with their own LOUD protests against all of the damage he is doing to our democracy. We'll explain how you can best safely take part, encourage others to join you, and mobilize your community to get involved!

At Seattle Supports Democracy, we've trained thousands of individuals over the last five years, activating them and helping them write letters, send texts, make calls, and show up to defend our democratic freedoms and make their voices heard. And we aren't going to stop now. Please join us."
