Sunday, September 22nd, 1-3pm POSTCARDS!

Join us to write postcards to "toss up" House districts and Ohio voters so we can help Harris and Walz AND work on getting them a willing Congress!

The weather is looking like a perfect fall day to get outside and help GOTV! We have written over 1,500 postcards so far - awesome! Currently, we're in need of about 1,100 stamps to complete the rest of our postcards - though I hope for us to receive a nice chunk from a postage grant like last year 🤞 Do you have a pal that's been interested in writing, but hasn't been able to? Let them know about this opportunity to help our cause 🙂 Are you able to donate towards postage as well a write them? AMAZING! It's wonderful for folks to be able to come and write, donating their time and effort, even if they aren't able to swing the postage (it adds up!). Donations of postcard stamps (or equivalents), cash, or Venmo (to @LaurenBoggs-Meslar noted as "postage") are all very welcome. Of course, 100% of donations go towards postage. Thank you for considering! 

I've committed us to about 1,000 more postcards. These include our continuing efforts towards toss up House districts and Ohio outreach - these will help both the top of the ticket and to take/keep control in Congress so we can work on shoring up our democracy. We also have some new Moms Rising postcards which are mostly pre-filled (and postage pre-paid, yay!), but have a spot for a sentence or two on there. We should be able to zip through these messages to moms 🙂 As always, please feel free to bring a friend! If nothing else, inviting them is an opportunity to chat about why you're getting involved 🙂 And don't forget - there are lots of other great options for getting out the vote, too, such as phone banking, text banking, canvassing, spreading truth to friends and family. My kids are looking forward to "Knocktober" canvassing!

We'll be at the covered shelter by the playground/splash pad. Kids are welcome (and at least one of mine will usually be in attendance). There's usually plenty of parking along the street.

Remember, stopping by for just a bit is fine! I'll have postcards in sets of 5, so you can do a set and head out if you need to. Able to spend the whole two ours with us? WONDERFUL! Let's aim for 20! Have your own postcards and/or postcard lists you're working on? Feel free to stop by to do some with us! The splash pad is open, so feel free to bring the kids. It's always a good idea to bring some cool water with you. I look forward to catching up with past postcarders and meeting new folks! Invite a buddy to come with you, too. It's nice time to chat about issues and candidates with folks who care while also helping effect some positive change 🙂 (For more on that positive change, you can see studies about postcards' efficacy here: https://www.turnoutpac.org/postcards-faq/).

I do ask that all postcards be completed on site and left with their address list so I can ensure they're sent on the appropriate day for each organization. Please note that some bundles require specific scripts, while others do not. Using your phone to photograph the sample script and copying from that works well.

If you'd like to simply swing by and pick up some postcards and a printed guide to get your own addresses and mail them yourself (or host your own postcard party!😍), we will have blank postcards available and printed guides (also attached here) available. I HIGHLY recommend everyone try to have their own little postcard gathering of friends - it's a great way to spend some time together and chat about upcoming elections. The more folks we get engaged in the process, the better!
