Leah & Nan welcome you to an in person orientation & overview on July 23rd and a virtual orientation on July 30th. Based on the participation, energy and skills that emerge out of these two meetings, additional leaders, locations and times may soon become available.
In July...
- We will review the concepts, language and strategies put forth by Trouble Nation and Heather Cox Richardson for effectively reaching the 70% of Americans who have never even heard of Project 2025 - and likely do not understand the nature or severity of the threat that Christian Nationalism poses to democracy.
- We will build rapport and a strong foundation for grassroots organizing, leaving the session with concrete next steps and a replicable model for moving forward.
- We will increase the depth and breadth of our capacity by mobilizing potential organizers in every county in the state of Maine, to inspire and encourage the strong network and infrastructure necessary to avert a national crisis.
Logistics
- The first gathering will take place in a second floor classroom (without an elevator), we have scheduled a virtual meeting the following week to address accessibility needs.
- Babies under 12 months old are easily accommodated.
- There is AC in the meeting space.
- Please do not park in the lot behind Veranda Asian Market.
