Stand Up Saturdays
Hello Defenders of our democracy and our country!
Wanted to share the call for protesters to wear yellow this Saturday - at No Kings and all protests like our Honk and Wave Stand Up Saturdays in Westlake! (10-noon at corner of Detroit and Crocker road).
The message from No Kings:
"This Saturday, we wear yellow because we believe in the power of the people — not kings.
Yellow is the color we use to show we are united. Bright, bold, and impossible to ignore.
Wearing yellow on No Kings Day is how we show we’re still here, standing together, and not willing to be ruled.
Show up. Wear yellow. Let them see us."
Also sharing the message from Stand Up Lorain's Nichole G which I find important and inspiring:
"When we gather on Saturday, it will be a reminder that fear cannot win when we choose to live with joy. Joy is the active decision in the face of oppression that renders their tactics useless. So let’s go out there and show them that our spirits cannot be broken."
