Stand Up Saturday Honk and Wave Protest

Friendly reminder of the last protest for 2025 is this Saturday.  We are excited to have our Lorain neighbors, Stand Up Lorain, joining us this week!

Come dressed for the cold. No snow/sleet forecast which could make our sidewalk impassable! Watch for an e-mail notice on Saturday morning (the day of the protest) by 8:00 AM if the protest is cancelled due to weather or sidewalk conditions.

 

 

Both Stand Up Saturdays and Stand Up Lorain will be collecting food and non-perishable food donations (including pet food) this Saturday to be donated to the Bay Village St. Barnabas Community Cupboard and Second Harvest. 

 

Many of you have been asking for other ways to remain engaged over the winter and continue to grow our Resistance!!!   We will continue to e-mail about opportunities that members of our group have suggested.  Please know that Our Stand Up Saturday e-mail list is not shared because so many of you have asked that it not be.

·         Indivisible NEO Westshore’s Don Shadrake has organized a group volunteer afternoon at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank on December 10, 3-6:00 at its Waterloo facility helping with the Healthy Choices pantry.  E-mail Don if you would like to join:  [email protected]

·         Stand Up Lorain will continue protests during the winter.  Contact [email protected] to be added to their mailing list.

·         Some of us have talked about “Pop Up Stand Up Saturdays Protests” if the weather cooperates. We will publicize these a few days prior via our e-mail network.
