SCOUT May Meeting - SB1 Petition Training

Red, Wine & Blue is officially supporting the coalition that's working to repeal Ohio SB1. Senate Bill 1 is the bill that, despite thousands of people testifying against it, was still approved and signed into law to go into effect on June 27th and will affect our state's public colleges and universities.

But Ohioans aren't giving up that easily, and a truly grassroots campaign is underway to gather signatures to put this bill up for a statewide vote on the November ballot. We only have until around June 25th to gather 250,000 signatures, so we need all hands on deck! SCOUT members Diane Homza-Dacek and Allesan Armstrong are signed up as Petition Captains with the Repeal SB1 initiative and will conduct petition signature training at our May 18th meeting. We will also discuss organizing a drive-through signature collection event for June.
