We the People Protect Each Other.

News is happening so rapidly, it's hard to keep up. This situation will get worse before it gets better. Now is the time to build and strengthen our communities. 

Sarah Harris Was Here was built, and continues to grow, as a group who will resist injustice and violence with nonviolence. We are a nonpartisan organization. The goal of remaining nonpartisan is to build a community who can work together for change. Both major parties have grossly and negligently failed their constituents.

Your involvement in our community can appear in many ways. Some people feel comfortable attending in-person meetings, while others send supplies for our poster and banner making parties. Some folks stand on interstate overpasses, while others beep in solidarity as they drive by. Some will gather outside Hartford ICE Headquarters to participate in nonviolent protest as our neighbors are kidnapped and deported, while others help us fill food pantries. There is room for everyone here in this movement. You matter and are valued.

Due to the recent escalation in violence in our country, we want to invite you to find safe place within our movement. If you feel comfortable doing so, join our meeting- virtually or in-person... even if it's your first meeting. We love you already.
