Santee SC local Meet and Greet

I've been having the hardest time finding fellow democracy warriors in the area. Orangeburg is supposedly a big blue county, so it's surprising that it's hard to find them. The OC Dem party facebook is not really updated, or they are just not very active. But we need to start organizing and planning and least just get to know each other! A reminder that we are not alone in this very red state. The league of Women voters is fighting the gerrymandered map to be redrawn, but I'm sure they will drag their feet. So we need to connect and unite to save our local democracy at least. The biggest local issue we could voice our opinions on is the casino they are trying to push for the old mall in Santee. I know a few have gone to council meetings, but I want to organize a petition or something so that they will know we can't be rolled over and ignored. They need to hear us.
