Training Highlights:
  • Survival Skills: Learn to address basic needs, make informed decisions, construct shelters, and master fire-building techniques. 
  • Self-Defense: Develop skills in setting boundaries, and practice both verbal and physical self-defense against various scenarios. 
  • Emergency Preparedness: Understand the fundamentals of emergency planning for events like natural disasters, power outages, and economic challenges.

Meet the Instructors:
  • Dina Imbriani  - With over 25 years in corporate training and coaching, Dina transitioned her expertise to the outdoors in 2006, training under a former U.S. Air Force SERE instructor. As the owner and Chief Adventure Officer of Mountain Shepherd Adventure School, she seamlessly integrates survival skills with personal development, empowering individuals through transformative outdoor experiences.   • Andrea Pitzer - Mostly known as a writer who loves to unearth lost or forgotten history, she taught self defense and martial arts for nearly a decade. 
  • Jason Miller - currently serves his community as a Police Officer for Virginia Tech and serves as a team leader for their Emergency Response Team, as well as a Defensive Tactics and Firearms instructor.

Additional Information:
  • Carpooling: Meet at Orange Market on Rt 311 and 419 at 9:15. 
  • Meals: Please bring your own lunch. 
  • Social Gathering: Stay after the sessions for a relaxed time around the fire.
