Protect, Disrupt, Defend, Build

There are many paths to working against the dysfunction at the state and federal level. We are embracing the model that says well-rounded work plans include protecting people, disrupting and disobeying, defending civic institutions and building alternatives. Disrupting and resisting tend to be at the forefront and are relatively easily accessible. However, there are other ways to address the issues that are appearing each day and that is what we will explore at our next meeting on Tuesday, April 1. Join us take action in the areas of protecting and disrupting, as well as learning more about defending and building.

Our first step in protecting people is by providing snack donations for Edwards Elementary students. This is a project at St. Andrews Lutheran Church and we are going to partner with them to support students in need at Edwards, as well as a thank you for providing a space for us.  If you are inclined, please bring one of the snacks listed below and we will add it to their donations.

We will also continue to disrupt and disobey. If you have any postcards you would like to bring and share, please do. If you're interested in making a sign for our visibility brigade you could bring a piece of foam core.

Finally we will support our legislators with thank you notes. If you have some random noes that you would like to share you can bring those. Otherwise they will be supplied.

Doors open at 6:30 and the meeting will begin at 7:00.  No one is required to bring anything - we will supply materials as needed. If you can RSVP that is very helpful but always feel free to join us and to bring a friend!
