Potato Harvest!!

At Wed’s GTT meeting We asked for community project ideas and Elizabeth P. mentioned helping the Hunger Coalition of Transylvania County with gleaning fruits and vegetables.

She saw Barbara Grimm, Hunger Coalition Director at yoga at the library, and asked her about GTT assisting with upcoming gleanings or other endeavors.

She said, "YES! I need 100 people this coming Tuesday" (she has 25 volunteers) to pick potatoes up off the ground and bag them. The Coalition planted these potatoes in March and a tractor has already churned up the dirt to reveal the potatoes.
