MODIFIED: Poll-standing for Issue 1; signature gathering for redistricting reform

BECAUSE SIGNATURE GATHERING FOR REDISTRICTING REFORM HAS BEEN DELAYED, WE WILL HAVE NO ORGANIZED POLL STANDING ON ELECTION DAY OR EARLY VOTE UNTIL THE SPRING PRIMARY.

Election Day (Nov. 7) offers a last chance to discuss Issue 1, the reproductive rights amendment, with voters before they go into their polling locations to vote. Because of the misleading ballot language and other deliberate disinformation swirling around this topic, this is particularly important this year. We were able to staff two Granville polling locations (First Presbyterian Church in the Village and Bryn Du Mansion in the Township) last November for collecting signatures to get reproductive rights ON the ballot — let’s finish the job this Election Day!

Our gerrymandered Statehouse is a major reason why we are having to fight so hard for these rights, protect our public schools, and many other issues. Should the redistricting reform ballot initiative be ready for signature gathering by Nov 7, we also will want to be collecting signatures as voters leave their polling places. This will be an all-hands on deck effort and require coordination and cooperation — a major reason why the Progressive Action Network exists!
