Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund - Storytelling Training

Sunday, August 24th, 2-4PM

Electric Cottage Collective, 82 Pleasant St, Brunswick, ME 04011

Personal stories are the most effective way of helping others understand the urgency of protecting reproductive health care. Here in Maine, volunteer storytellers have helped pass laws protecting reproductive rights and care and defeat bad policy. They’ve also been crucial to the work of combatting stigma.

If you’re curious about what this looks like – and it can be different for everyone! -- join us at this in-person training to learn how and why stories are an effective tool for advocacy and gain some support in developing your own story related to this work!

What to expect: Snacks, tea and new friends in a casual and welcoming atmosphere with instruction from experienced organizers and volunteer leaders, plus opportunities to practice new skills.

Impact: When you leave this training, you’ll know how to tell a story that can inspire others to take action or persuade someone to change their mind. You’ll also join our growing community of storytellers and activists and have access to additional training and support from our staff!
