Personal stories are the most effective way of helping others understand the urgency of protecting Between cuts to Medicaid, the rapidly shifting national landscape and fear-mongering, it can be confusing for patients to know where they can go for care. That’s why we’ve launched the Healthy Neighborhood canvassing program to help spread the word that Planned Parenthood of Northern New England is here committed to providing care, no matter what. 

Join us for a Healthy Neighborhood Canvass to connect with Mainers, let them know where Planned Parenthood health centers are located in their communities, and provide resources for anyone looking to help their friends and neighbors access compassionate, non-judgemental care available at Planned Parenthood. 

What to Expect: Start the day with a training on everything you need to know for safe, effective conversations. Then go door-to-door with a partner equipped with a script and educational materials to share information about nearby Planned Parenthood resources.  

Impact: One important step to ensuring everyone can access the care they need, when they need it is to make sure folks know where they can get care! By sharing information with our neighbors about Planned Parenthood services in the area, we can empower more people to take control of their health care. More people accessing care = stronger communities!
