Palm Beach County National Organization for Women (PBCNOW) Movie Night

The president of PBCNOW has invited the Democracy Defenders to an incredible event! 

PBCNOW is collaborating with the Women's Chamber of Commerce for Palm Beach County and likely a few other organizations (Palm Beach Indivisibles, maybe League of Women Voters and Democratic Women's Club) for a movie night at Keiser University in West Palm Beach. We plan to show the film Lilly about the life of Lilly Ledbetter, and wanted to have a brief discussion prior to the film about undervaluing women's work, second shift, pay inequity, etc. to set the stage for watching the movie. We are asking folks to come at 5:30 on Thursday, Aug 7 with the film starting at 6:15pm, evening to end at 8pm. 

We are waiting to learn from Keiser U what the rental costs will be which will dictate what we charge attendees. We were spitballing a $5 cost with some sponsorship options for those on a strict budget. We’ll be providing popcorn and allowing folks to bring their own snacks.
