NO KINGS! June 14th Event - Alameda

City of Alameda, California – On Saturday June 14, 2025, the Alameda community will join supporters of our democracy nationwide to let the world know that the President is not a king and democracy is not for sale. 

 

10:00 AM: Family fun pre-protest at Chochenyo Park, 2430 Encinal at Park Avenue in Alameda.

FAMILY FUN: Statue of Liberty crown-making, sign & button making, bubble blowing, sidewalk chalk drawing, crafting noisemakers, music

 

11:30 AM: March from Chochenyo Park to Alameda City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Ave

 

NOON-1 PM: Rally at Alameda City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Ave

• Mary Boergers, former member of Maryland’s State Senate and a facilitator of the peace process in Northern Ireland during the 1990’s

• Jeff Raz, former Ringmaster of Cirque Du Soleil and head of Citizen Joy! who will Emcee the rally

• A 21-member choir who will share inspiring songs with rally goers

 

The “No Kings” protest in Alameda is among hundreds of protests planned across the U.S. to remind our reps in Congress that democracy is by the people and for the people, not by a tyrant and for his bank account. Voters expect congressional leaders to meet and surpass the energy and conviction of their constituents.
